Behind the Lens

"Photography has opened my eyes to a previously undiscovered world. It has allowed me to see the world around me with a deeper appreciation. I am constantly aware of the extraordinary among the ordinary and the beauty in the mundane. I don't see pictures. I see stories ... with both my eyes and my heart.." If you read my "about" page, you would have read that. 

One of the reasons why I enjoy the discipline and practice of photography is that it has allowed me to practice seeing. Through the lens, I have learned the importance of taking time to BE STILL and to use my senses. To listen and to hear in every setting and every circumstance. Because underneath my initial observation lies a seemingly hidden virtual classroom waiting for me to fully attend. To engage me to listen and to change my life.
