Welcome

My eyes have led me down a path I never thought I would take. Although holding on to memories has always been important to me, I haven’t dreamed of being a photographer my whole life. I have, however, dreamed of keeping my kids small and my vacations alive. I have wished to stop time, to hold on to the moment, to bottle up my kids cute faces or the silly things they wear. To some extent, photography allows me to do just that. It has opened my eyes to a previously undiscovered world. It has allowed me to see the world around me with a deeper appreciation. I am constantly aware of the extraordinary among the ordinary and the beauty in the mundane. I don't see pictures. I see stories ... with both my eyes and my heart. I am a wordless storyteller. Thanks for joining me here.

Snips and Snails... [Family]

What a treat to hang out with this family of five! The boys were so well mannered. They wanted so badly to run in the mud and water and chase their dog, but they were so patient. In fact, I should have let them spend more time running and playing and caught them on film that way. Mom and dad you must be very proud of your guys!

I only have one son and he has totally stolen my heart. I cannot imagine what this sweet mom feels like.
I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It looks like you have much to be thankful for!

Happy Anniversary! [Family]

An anniversary is a great time to catch up on family photos! That is exactly what this beautiful family choose to do. Thanks to a beautiful evening and a lovely family, we were able to grab some great shots. Enjoy a walk through the woods!
Congratulations on your anniversary! May you have many, many more!

Beautiful Fall Day ~ Beautiful Family

What a beautiful day it was to play in the leaves and take family pictures! This was the beautiful, energetic face I was greeted with when I visited this family. Isn't she sweet?
This little one was pretty sweet too...
This guy needed a little help, but he livened up quickly.
(So, I had to include that black and white image to show how even when it seems we can't get a good picture, with a bit of work - we can get plenty. ;).)
LOVE these pictures below...Can you guess what game they are playing?
Sweetness...
It was so nice to meet your family. Enjoy these little ones - even in the crazy busy days of now, because soon they will be all grown up and instead of chasing them in the leaves, you will be driving them all over and missing these precious days.

Kate [Senior]

What a beautiful, but windy, night we had to take Kate's senior pictures! We met on a brick drive that evening, the sun was preparing to set for the night and it was just gorgeous out. Kate, too, was beautiful and I enjoyed getting to know her and her mom during out time together. Kate is preparing to study graphic design, which is what I do a bit of, and I wish her the best in making that big decision about where to go to college. Here is just a sampling of what we got that night. Kate, I could have posted many, many on here, but here are a few of my favorites.

Tutus in the Leaves [Family]

As a little girl, could anything be more fun then shuffling through LOTS of leaves in tutus? ;) This mom is a fiend of mine who is just as a beautiful on the inside as on the outside. She has a love and passion for the Lord and people and I feel blessed to call her a friend and sister in Christ. Take a walk through the woods with me to look at some of their images.
Their crew is above and below are pictures of their precious little ones ~ oldest to youngest.
Don't you just love the little guys expression?
Just LOVE these tutus. Mom made them!
Thanks for spending the afternoon with me. God bless your sweet family!

Playmates and Friends [Cousins]

Oh how I wish we lived close to some cousins! I think it is so special when cousins grow up together. Ava, Brynn, Gavin and Charlotte have had years to play together and get to know each other, and we took some pictures in honor of two of them moving away. We had a fairly nontraditional type shoot as I actually forgot my camera purposefully left my camera at home and borrowed a friendly neighbors just to challenge myself. Ahem... We still had a nice time and enjoyed beautiful evening sun. I just love that time of the evening in the fall! Here are a few of your images...
And many prayers to you Kristie as you move on to warmer places...
