Welcome

My eyes have led me down a path I never thought I would take. Although holding on to memories has always been important to me, I haven’t dreamed of being a photographer my whole life. I have, however, dreamed of keeping my kids small and my vacations alive. I have wished to stop time, to hold on to the moment, to bottle up my kids cute faces or the silly things they wear. To some extent, photography allows me to do just that. It has opened my eyes to a previously undiscovered world. It has allowed me to see the world around me with a deeper appreciation. I am constantly aware of the extraordinary among the ordinary and the beauty in the mundane. I don't see pictures. I see stories ... with both my eyes and my heart. I am a wordless storyteller. Thanks for joining me here.

Lauren + Tim [Wedding]

(Thank you Lauren and Tim for being so incredibly patient in waiting for this wedding day story to be told!)

The weather was hot – but absolutely gorgeous on the day of Tim and Lauren’s wedding. Storms has been predicted earlier in the week, but God had other plans for this beautiful, outdoor wedding.  Prior to the big day, we talked about what we could do if it did rain of course, but we reminded each other that the main goal of your wedding day is getting married ~ rain or shine!!!...making a forever commitment with the one you love ~ your best friend as Tim and Lauren would both have described each other. Lauren understood that – she didn’t bat an eye at the thought of rain.

“Keep the main thing – the main thing.” That is something my mom is constantly reminding me of. If you know me, I have a tendency to go in a million different directions, get easily distracted and quickly lose focus on what is really important. In discussing wedding planning and details with Lauren and her mom in the months prior to the wedding, it seemed to me that these two kind of had that nailed down. Lauren was one of the most laid-back brides I have had the pleasure of working with. When her bridesmaid toasted to her, she shared that Lauren is one of the most positive people she knows. That was clear to me in the short time I was able to spend with her. Tim’s love for Lauren was so evident – His eyes lovingly keeping steady on her all day. His best man shared that Tim has a strong love for the Lord and genuine heart for his friends and family.

I hope you can see a little bit of this sweet couple's love for each other as you “read” through their wedding day story told through captured moments.....I think you will probably also see that they share many laughs along the way....
